Our Care

 

Our care is provided by a dedicated team of Nurses, Care Assistants and Ancillary Staff.  We have at least one Registered General Nurse on duty at all times, however from Monday to Friday, we normally have an additional nurse to provide the routine nursing care.  Our staff are dedicated to our residents and the home, with over 50% of our staff having worked with us for over 5 years; some of our staff have been with us in excess of 15 years.

 

Our team is headed up by the Matron/Manager who, as well as being a Registered General Nurse, is also a Registered Mental Nurse and a qualified Counsellor.  She is supported by two deputies, who are also Registered Genral Nurses; they concentrate on the managerial and clinical aspects of the nursing care provided.

 

The provision of nursing care offers the peace of mind that should this be required, there is no need to move to a different home.

The home is accredited under the Gold Standards Framework, a national scheme to improve the quality of end of life care and in 2011 was awarded 'Platinum' which is the highest level of Beacon Status within the scheme.
